Bill and Tom: Waiting for the right girl

All of a sudden, even when their fans have lost all of their hope, the news that Tokio Hotel is coming to Belgrade has hit everyone. The popular twins Bill and Tom have managed to slide us somehow into their tight schedule, although they are all overbooked. They answered our questions, which will truly make the Serbian fans very happy.

OK!: What would you say to your fans here in Serbia?

Bill: We are really overexcited about this concert in Belgrade and a chance to spend some time with the fans here. We always try to give our best to our fans, our production is on a very high level and we always have something cool as a surprice for our fans.

OK!: What is the best, and what is the worst thing when you're in a band?

Tom: The worst thing is surely Georg's iritating bass playing, and the best thing is of course, meeting all the lovely ladies around the world.

Bill: It's our biggest dream, to travel around the world and play music in our band, we life of it. And whne you combine all that and it becomes reality, there isn't anything better than that! Life couldn't be better!

OK!: Your music heroes while you were growing up were..?

Bill: We didn't really have music idols or anyone to look up to. When I was a kid, I used to listen to David Bowie a lot, but in our career we've been trying to avoid influences and always do our own thing.

Tom: Of course there are artists that we like, for example Aerosmith, or Stereophonics, but when music production is conserned - we keep it within our own style.

OK!: Which are your top 3 songs you always like to hear?

Tom: That is a tough one because that changes every day. But on my list for today, I have "Empire state of mind" from Jay-Z, "Dude looks like a lady" from Aerosmith, and "looking for freedom" by David Hasselhoff. I am kidding for the last one... it's a joke, okay? *laugh*

OK!: Tell us one of your many secrets.

Bill: I can happen to me sometimes, that I start to cry. I could watch a sad movie, or sometimes if I see animals being hurt, especially dogs. That hurts me. It "kills" me every time!

OK!: 5 minutes before you're about to hit the stage, what's going on behind the curtains?

Bill: It might sound weird, but 5 minutes before the show we're backstage, walking in circles, being completely nervous ans scared. And a couple of seconds before we go out, we cheer ourselves together like a sports team, because we have a lot of action ahead of us.

OK!: You've created this band almost 10 years ago. What would you choose as your all-time memorable moment ever, in your career?

Bill: There were A LOT of things, but you can never forget when our first single Monsoon hit the charts and reached #1, when we won our first EMA, as well as the time we've spent in America.

Tom: We will never forget the concert in Paris, in front of 500.000 people under the Eiffel Tower.

OK!: What is the secret to your success?

Tom: There is no recipe, formula or any secret at all. We try to be ourselves and enjoy our work. We adore our fans and making new songs is the best thing in the world, that is it. If we leave aside my amazingly good look. *laugh*

OK!: Who would you like to colaborate with?

Tom & Bill: There isn't much to say, it's clear - Aerosmith!

OK!: What do you guys think of Lady Gaga?

Bill: She's totally ok! She does her thing, her job, follows her ideas and she is completely different from the others.

OK!: Name 5 things which are always OK! for you guys.

Bill: I will do it! My family, my friends, my dogs, my brother and my band.

OK!: And love? Are you in love?

Bill: No, I am not, which is a shame, I know that. But it's normal, for a person like me, who's just waiting for the right person. It can get a bit longer to wait... At least I think so.

Tom: Well I am always in love, unlike Bill... just with a different girl every time.

OK!: Where do you see yourselves in 10 years from now?

Bill: Hopefully still in our Tokio Hotel style, so same as today - band, music, concerts.

OK!: If you had a time mashine, where would you go?

Tom: Oooh I wouldn't really travel a lot. I would try to turn back to the time when I hit the wrong acord in the bridge of our song Humanoid in the middle of a concert!

OK!: Which Hollywood beauty would you gladly see in a new Tokio Hotel video?

Tom: This is a cool question, but I'm still trying to choose - Jessica Alba or Megan Fox...

OK!: To who would you dedicate a new song?

Bill: To our mother.

OK!: Tokio Hotel's life story - what would it be called?

Bill: It ain't over till it's done.

Dreaming of love at first sight

Dreaming of love at first sight

He is careful and afraid to show his real feelings. He is the dream of girls around the world. And officially - single. He is Bill Kaulitz. Bravo Girl reveals things you surely didn't know about him!

BG: What are you like in a relationship?
Bill: It might not look like that, but I'm really sensitive. I often put myself in the other person's skin to try to feel what they are feeling. That is the way I somehow try to avoid conflicts.

BG: What kind of a girl are you actually looking for?
Bill: I want an inteligent girl I can talk to about anything. I want he to be my friend, to be my partner. I don't like rough girls, I like delicate and sensitive girls. I like good manners, not rudeness and roughness.

BG: Do you have a girlfriend?
Bill: I don't have anyone right now. But I would like to have a girlfriend I would fall in love with at the very first sight. I will never stop telling myself: "I believe in true love!"

BG: What are the bad sides of being famous? As soon as you hit the streets, you are surounded by fans and paparazzi, right?
Bill: Exactly. I wish I could just take a walk one day, just to see what's the weather like! Earlier when we were on tour, we used to let ouselves go out a bit without our bodyguards. Now, that is impossible. But I love the fact that people love our music, fame is like a drug for us.

BG: What would you be doing if you weren't a musician?
Bill: I'd be an unemployed musician. *laugh* I would probably perform in small clubs for any cash at all.

BG: If you were to do a duet with any female singer, who would it be?
Bill: I wouldn't really choose a female singer, I'd rather do a colaboration with a band like Foo Fighters or the guys from One Republic.

BG: Back to music - your new album Humanoid sound very mature - like you are 30-year-old rockers.
Bill: To be honest the album turned out to be something we didn't really plan for it to be at the beginning of the making. We've decided to just do our job and see what will come out of it. We like to experiment with instruments a lot. The result was a completely new sound, and it was totally unexpected!

BG: This is your second english album.
Bill: Yes but there is a difference - Humanoid was released in two versions: German and English. From now on we will be doing all our albums this way.

BG: Do you prefer singing in English over German, or...?
Bill: Both English and German are a huge part of my life. I can't separate them nor tell one is more important than the other. When we were on tour in America, I sang the English songs, but the fans wanted to hear how it all sounds in German, so I sang a bit in German. And they all sang along! Imagine that!

Bill Kaulitz's ID:
Name: Bill Kaulitz
Nick: Meckie
Date of Birth: September 1, 1989.
Sign: Virgo
Place of birth: Leipzig (Germany)
Hight: 1.88 m

By Bill's pic: the newest rumour about Bill is that he took Dennis K's girlfriend, Pinky S. She is half-asian and is a cemetery gardener (!). Alledgedly, Dennis complained to the German press how Bill took his girlfriend, and online, too. She wrote letters to Bill because she was a fan and he replied to them, so that is how it all started! Neither Bill nor Pinky commented on this rumour.

With an androgynous look along with a velvety voice in 2007 the pop scene was shaken by a quartet compose of German boys filled with energy, with Bill as their enigmatic leader they let themselves be known with their single Monsoon. These new idols were transform into a musical phenomenon on Austria, France, great Britain and Spain.

Just to mention some of their success, they have a Double Platinum Album in Germany with Schrei, a Golden Album in Switzerland, Platinum Album in Austria and have played for 20,000 people in their homeland, selling to this date over 4 million albums. After their success in Europe they embark to conquer the Occident with a recompilations of their hits: Scream, with this material they got consolidated in the United States and Latin America.

Bill the front man of Tokio Hotel, calls the attention of whoever sees him. But is not by less, is because of his heavy black makeup, rebel hair, piercings, tattoos and singular black clothing. This vocalist and lyricist is adore by hundreds of girls, for his originality, audacity, egocentric, represents a live homage of his own personal philosophy “ Live every second” , which reflects in every single one of their lyrics and interpretations. Bill already has walked the catwalk in Milan for designers Dsquared2, and has announce his interest in designing his own clothing line title Bill Future, registered under his name.

On the other hand, Tom, although identical to him, he is much more introverted. Inclusive the guitarist with dreads has never kissed a girl until Bill asked his ex-girlfriend to kiss him so he can experiment the feeling. Gustav and Georg are key pieces to complement the quartet, they also help with the composition of their music. Both are fans of Green Day, Oasis, Fall Out Boy, Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Yellowcard. Although Tom and Gustav are the calm ones contrary to Bill and Georg being the loud ones, they share the idea of fighting for their dreams, which is reflected in their music, creating this unique style in the group, characterized by the combination of pop and rock with touches of electronic and punk sounds.

Even if their style is alternative in some way, it contrast with their music creating this unbeatable combination which is always innovative. It all started when the Kaulitz twins since their childhood dedicated themselves to music and to give recitals and gigs in clubs, then they met Gustav Schäfer ( drummer) and Georg Listing ( bassist) during a presentation in Madgerburg.

They formed the group Devilish and recorded their debut album. But it was not until 2003 when they signed with Sony BMG ( although they ended up with Universal record label), they changed their name to Tokio Hotel, when they confess that the original name was not of their pleasing. Instead they decided to change it in honor of a large and dynamic city, as they wanted to be their trademark and added hotel because they love to travel, is where they spend most of the time while on tour. "Furthermore, a successful group is always on tour, so we also wanted it to be good luck, "said Tom. Some of their musical influences are Linkin Park, Placebo and Muse. As for Bill Kaulitz's look is deeply marked by David Bowie, the inspiration for his peculiar appearance.

The monsoon arrives to Mexico

Tokio Hotel have visited our country on several occasions: Their first signing on mexican lands was on August 29th of 2008 in Plaza Cuicuilco; The members assisted to the MTVLA Awards in Guadalajara and they also participated at the 97.7's concert, shaking the audience with their first appearance. A year later, the returned to present themselves at the event of Los 40 Principales and be awarded at the Telehit Awards at Acapulco.

The most exciting of their visits were the signings, 'cause since the moment the first was announced, thousand of fans were attracted to the state and no one expected such response, more than two thousands of enthusiastic fans (the sign was limited to de two thousand bracelets to meet the band) were there to see their idols. At the second time the access was limited only to five hundred bracelets, so several girls arrived weeks before to guarantee their places, armed with CD's, T-shirts and even electric guitars that bought exclusively for the guys to sign. Nowadays we wait anxiously their promised return at 2010 to promote their new album.

Welcome to Humanoid City

For their most recent material, Bill was the one who picked the title of "Humanoid": An androgen, like his image, product of science fiction, hybrid between human and machine. This word is written the same in English as in German, something that the group was also looking for. In this new project, Bill plays the violin in some songs and, even Humanoid it's "sweeter" ha expected (in previous interviews they declared that they would change their style to another more metalhead), with Automatic, their first single they already reached the Golden Record on sales.

Their last album continues with their pop-rock-punk ultra juvenile and commercial, so besides the army of girls in love with Bill, more fans with me tendencies had been added, thanks to sounds than combine the guitar with the drums on an emotional tear accompanied with deep and sad letters like Pain of Love. Their tour for 2010, Welcome to humanoid City, of 32 concerts in total will visit 19 european cities beginning February the 22nd.

-As a bonus, Tokio Hotel recorded a special theme for the highly anticipated Tim Burton's film, Alice in Wonderland, to be premiered in March. IWe are talking about Strange, performed with Kerli, a singer form Estonia.

-At 2008, after Bill surgery due to a cyst on his throat, fans al over the world worried a lot for the singer's voice. Fortunately, he recovered in a shot time.

-Emily Kay, a famous german writer, will base her new trilogy of book on Tokio hotel, most of all on Bill Kaulitz.

-Soon, Tom will be the image for the brand Reebok for sport shoes.
