Bill and Tom: Waiting for the right girl

All of a sudden, even when their fans have lost all of their hope, the news that Tokio Hotel is coming to Belgrade has hit everyone. The popular twins Bill and Tom have managed to slide us somehow into their tight schedule, although they are all overbooked. They answered our questions, which will truly make the Serbian fans very happy.

OK!: What would you say to your fans here in Serbia?

Bill: We are really overexcited about this concert in Belgrade and a chance to spend some time with the fans here. We always try to give our best to our fans, our production is on a very high level and we always have something cool as a surprice for our fans.

OK!: What is the best, and what is the worst thing when you're in a band?

Tom: The worst thing is surely Georg's iritating bass playing, and the best thing is of course, meeting all the lovely ladies around the world.

Bill: It's our biggest dream, to travel around the world and play music in our band, we life of it. And whne you combine all that and it becomes reality, there isn't anything better than that! Life couldn't be better!

OK!: Your music heroes while you were growing up were..?

Bill: We didn't really have music idols or anyone to look up to. When I was a kid, I used to listen to David Bowie a lot, but in our career we've been trying to avoid influences and always do our own thing.

Tom: Of course there are artists that we like, for example Aerosmith, or Stereophonics, but when music production is conserned - we keep it within our own style.

OK!: Which are your top 3 songs you always like to hear?

Tom: That is a tough one because that changes every day. But on my list for today, I have "Empire state of mind" from Jay-Z, "Dude looks like a lady" from Aerosmith, and "looking for freedom" by David Hasselhoff. I am kidding for the last one... it's a joke, okay? *laugh*

OK!: Tell us one of your many secrets.

Bill: I can happen to me sometimes, that I start to cry. I could watch a sad movie, or sometimes if I see animals being hurt, especially dogs. That hurts me. It "kills" me every time!

OK!: 5 minutes before you're about to hit the stage, what's going on behind the curtains?

Bill: It might sound weird, but 5 minutes before the show we're backstage, walking in circles, being completely nervous ans scared. And a couple of seconds before we go out, we cheer ourselves together like a sports team, because we have a lot of action ahead of us.

OK!: You've created this band almost 10 years ago. What would you choose as your all-time memorable moment ever, in your career?

Bill: There were A LOT of things, but you can never forget when our first single Monsoon hit the charts and reached #1, when we won our first EMA, as well as the time we've spent in America.

Tom: We will never forget the concert in Paris, in front of 500.000 people under the Eiffel Tower.

OK!: What is the secret to your success?

Tom: There is no recipe, formula or any secret at all. We try to be ourselves and enjoy our work. We adore our fans and making new songs is the best thing in the world, that is it. If we leave aside my amazingly good look. *laugh*

OK!: Who would you like to colaborate with?

Tom & Bill: There isn't much to say, it's clear - Aerosmith!

OK!: What do you guys think of Lady Gaga?

Bill: She's totally ok! She does her thing, her job, follows her ideas and she is completely different from the others.

OK!: Name 5 things which are always OK! for you guys.

Bill: I will do it! My family, my friends, my dogs, my brother and my band.

OK!: And love? Are you in love?

Bill: No, I am not, which is a shame, I know that. But it's normal, for a person like me, who's just waiting for the right person. It can get a bit longer to wait... At least I think so.

Tom: Well I am always in love, unlike Bill... just with a different girl every time.

OK!: Where do you see yourselves in 10 years from now?

Bill: Hopefully still in our Tokio Hotel style, so same as today - band, music, concerts.

OK!: If you had a time mashine, where would you go?

Tom: Oooh I wouldn't really travel a lot. I would try to turn back to the time when I hit the wrong acord in the bridge of our song Humanoid in the middle of a concert!

OK!: Which Hollywood beauty would you gladly see in a new Tokio Hotel video?

Tom: This is a cool question, but I'm still trying to choose - Jessica Alba or Megan Fox...

OK!: To who would you dedicate a new song?

Bill: To our mother.

OK!: Tokio Hotel's life story - what would it be called?

Bill: It ain't over till it's done.

Bill: Para nuestra madre.
OK!: La historia de Tokio Hotel la vida -  sería llamado?
Bill: Es que no acaba hasta que se realiza.

Dreaming of love at first sight

Dreaming of love at first sight

He is careful and afraid to show his real feelings. He is the dream of girls around the world. And officially - single. He is Bill Kaulitz. Bravo Girl reveals things you surely didn't know about him!

BG: What are you like in a relationship?
Bill: It might not look like that, but I'm really sensitive. I often put myself in the other person's skin to try to feel what they are feeling. That is the way I somehow try to avoid conflicts.

BG: What kind of a girl are you actually looking for?
Bill: I want an inteligent girl I can talk to about anything. I want he to be my friend, to be my partner. I don't like rough girls, I like delicate and sensitive girls. I like good manners, not rudeness and roughness.

BG: Do you have a girlfriend?
Bill: I don't have anyone right now. But I would like to have a girlfriend I would fall in love with at the very first sight. I will never stop telling myself: "I believe in true love!"

BG: What are the bad sides of being famous? As soon as you hit the streets, you are surounded by fans and paparazzi, right?
Bill: Exactly. I wish I could just take a walk one day, just to see what's the weather like! Earlier when we were on tour, we used to let ouselves go out a bit without our bodyguards. Now, that is impossible. But I love the fact that people love our music, fame is like a drug for us.

BG: What would you be doing if you weren't a musician?
Bill: I'd be an unemployed musician. *laugh* I would probably perform in small clubs for any cash at all.

BG: If you were to do a duet with any female singer, who would it be?
Bill: I wouldn't really choose a female singer, I'd rather do a colaboration with a band like Foo Fighters or the guys from One Republic.

BG: Back to music - your new album Humanoid sound very mature - like you are 30-year-old rockers.
Bill: To be honest the album turned out to be something we didn't really plan for it to be at the beginning of the making. We've decided to just do our job and see what will come out of it. We like to experiment with instruments a lot. The result was a completely new sound, and it was totally unexpected!

BG: This is your second english album.
Bill: Yes but there is a difference - Humanoid was released in two versions: German and English. From now on we will be doing all our albums this way.

BG: Do you prefer singing in English over German, or...?
Bill: Both English and German are a huge part of my life. I can't separate them nor tell one is more important than the other. When we were on tour in America, I sang the English songs, but the fans wanted to hear how it all sounds in German, so I sang a bit in German. And they all sang along! Imagine that!

Bill Kaulitz's ID:
Name: Bill Kaulitz
Nick: Meckie
Date of Birth: September 1, 1989.
Sign: Virgo
Place of birth: Leipzig (Germany)
Hight: 1.88 m

By Bill's pic: the newest rumour about Bill is that he took Dennis K's girlfriend, Pinky S. She is half-asian and is a cemetery gardener (!). Alledgedly, Dennis complained to the German press how Bill took his girlfriend, and online, too. She wrote letters to Bill because she was a fan and he replied to them, so that is how it all started! Neither Bill nor Pinky commented on this rumour.

Promo for Serbia's Concert

I needed to bring this from the THA Forum forums provided by the Goga and taken by AndjelaUndTom both from Tokio Hotel Serbia Fan Club and Tokio Hotel Serbia News Blog

Underground Humonoid City Tour for Serbia

Stage as an underground city Blic
The German teen band Tokio Hotel will perform in Belgrade Arena on March 28, and the crowd is in for a real spectacle - the stage is going to look like a mysterious underground city from the future and the band members are going to perform in costumes designed especially for this event.

Members of the German band, which is going to Belgrade on their new tour and promoting their new album "Humanoid", have requested in their "rider" (wish-list) an available wardrobe assistant and an assistant who is experienced in (ironing clothes), who will help during clothes changing. To fit the stage atmosphere, where black, red and navy blue are dominant, the members' costumes have been designed in the same colors, by the designers of the fashion brand "DSquared". During the concert, the frontman of Tokio Hotel, Bill Kaulitz, will be changing his costumes five times, he will start out with a black leather costume with a black vest that contains metal rivets and reflecting surfaces, and he will end the concert in a t-shirt with printed blood stains.

The equipment will arived in Belgrade in 11 trucks, and along with the shifting stage there are three hydraulic elevators that the band's drummer will be using on stage. The band members have requested that all the towels are black or another dark color, and have also insisted that all the waste gets recycled, no matter if the law here applies to it or not.

They've demanded to have English, American and German newspapers available on the concert day, especially implying that there is no German "Bild" in that newspaper pile. When talking about food, they're requested a lot of bread, croissants, French baguettes, pastry - Serbian if available, then a kilogram of bacon and sausages, fresh milk, butter, soy butter, eggs, a couple of sorts of cheese, as well as tomatoes and some fruit.

Tickets cost from 2900 to 4900 dinars can be purchased in the Ticket service "," Eventim "bookstore" Delphi "in SKC and the cashier," Arena "

Get ready for a spectacle!

Press Online

Interview with Bill Kaulitz, singer of Tokio Hotel

Get ready for a spectacle!

"The european tour has a big production, and these are our most ambicious concerts so far. The Belgrade crowd are in for a great show" says the singer of the well known German teen band.

This popular German teenage band Tokio Hotel, will perform in Arena Belgrade on March 27th (why can't anyone accept the fact it's on the 28th, stupid newspapers). In an interview with Press, Bill Kaulitz says that this cocnert will be spectacular in every way, which is exactly what the Belgrade crowd expects. He claims that this European tour is the biggest tour they've ever had, if you look at the production and preparation.

"We've been on the road for a month now. The European tour has a big production, and these are our most ambicious concerts so far. The Belgrade crowd are in for a great show" says Bill Kaulitz.

Are you satifsied with the public's reaction and the album's critics?

Bill: The reactions are great! We've worrked on this album for so long, it was about time we made something fresh, new songs. We have co-produced the entire album, for the first time ever, and we've decided to put the electronic sound ahead of the "live" sound this time. For recordings we've traveled to Los Angeles and Miami, recorded in various studios. It was a fantastic experience.

After working on the album in the States, you've talked nothing but amazing things about LA in your interviews. Why so?

Bill: You can write good songs everywhere, but some places just have a good creative vibe to them. For example, LA is full of producers, musicians and songwriters, you can just feel the music in your bones! It's all very vrowded in there, there is a lot of potential when it talking about the music industry. In Europe, or Germany, let's say, you have places where you create music. Fore example Köln is a city like that, but nothing like Los Angeles. Eveyone from the band agrees on that, we're all amazed with the way business goes there and we can't wait to go back to LA.

How do you explain the mass success of the band in America? Rammstein is also famous there, besides you. Do Americans have a special affinity towards German bands?

Bill: I think that we're just very lucky! We, a German band, have never expected to be so famous in America. Our luck appeared after a lot of effort - we've done a lot of promotion and shows there. And that's not easy, believe us. When you coem to America, you're nothing but a German guy there. It's hard to get to the top. I'm sure that neither Rammstein had an easy way to the top.

What is the difference between concert in Europe and concerts in America?

Bill: In America, we do more shows but in smaller venues. That kind of performance has an intimate component, we feel very close with our fans. But, I prefer playing in huge venues, although it's nice to experience a smaller venue, because there we can get more intimate with our fans.

How would you descibe your creative process?

Bill: It's always different. Now we all work liek co-producers, and we've known eachother for so long, 7-8 years. We cooperate like one big happy family.

How was the band formed?

Bill: It was Tom's stupid idea. Some newspapers descibed our sound as "devilishly good guitar sound" and Tom said that "Devilish" would fit just right. The name stayed until our producer came and told us that it might be better that, since we're an ambicious band, we change our name into something more serious. "Tokio Hotel" just sounded so cool to us, it made us think of long distance journeys and tours.

Are you planning on playing in Japan? Do you guys have fans there?

Bill: Yes we are, and we've heard we have a lot of fans there! We know of some active Fanclubs that are in Japan. Unfortunately, we haven't had a chance to play there yet, but we're hoping that chance will come soon. As soon as a Japanese promoter calls us to play there, we will play.

In the little grey box it says: "We're not guilty for the cancelation!"

The band Tokio Hotel was supposed to perform in Belgrade two years ago, but the entire tour got canceled due to Bill Kaulitz's illness. The band got a new chance to play in front of the Belgrade crowd after the cancelation of the concert in Zagreb, that was scheduled for March 28, got canceled under very suspicious conditions. So the Serbian promoters took a bite at this shot and managed to keep this band on the Balkan. Except for Croatia, the concerts in Russia have also been canceled. The singer says that the band in not to be blamed for all this. "Cancelations are always tough to accept, especially for the fans. We are very sorry because of this. There were a lot of people who were looking forward to coming to our concerts, and that all also ruined a lot of our plans on this tour. But I need to point out that it's not our fault. The local promoters have ruined the situation. As far as I know, the organisation and promotion in Belgrade is much more serious so we won't have any problems with that one." says Bill Kaulitz for Press.
