Junk #145 (Malaysia)-Una existencia Humanoide. A Humanoid Existence

KaWanku ( Indonesia)

KaWanku Mag (ID) - Bill K "I believe in Love"Kawanku #73/2010 - 1Kawanku #73/2010 - 2

Bill Kaulitz: "I Believe in True Love"

Beautiful face, cool style, good at singing, and romantic. That's why W melted when meeting him.

When did you start playing music?
Tom and I have been playing music for a long time. We started writing songs when we were 7 years old, and not long after we started to perform in small stages, private parties, weddings, little city parties, and those sort of events. (picture insertion: 16 years old Bill and Tom)

Is there any band or singer who inspires you when writing songs?
It's hard to name one band or singer because I listen to many kinds of music. I never have a role model, but like to listen to David Bowie, Placebo, Coldplay, and Stereophonics. I'd like to be able to make something musically with my idols, David Bowie and Steven Taylor (Aerosmith's vocalist).

Is it hard to sing in English while you were born and stay in Germany?
This is the biggest challenge for me and the others. It was emotionally a big step doing an album in English because we always did music in German. I was always writing lyrics in German, singing in German, so this is a big step for me. I'm a big perfectionist. I often went to studio because I want our song to sound good, I don't want to sound like a German trying to sing in English, I want to sound native.

You have a cool style that people like to talk about. Have you ever thought that Adam lambert's style is close to yours?
People have told me about that. I don't know, I'm not sure. I haven't seen older pictures of him, ha ha ha. I don't know his older style, so I don't know if he copy mine or not. Maybe he just likes to wear make-up all the time like I do.

Do you apply your own make-up on your own everytime you want to perform?
Sometimes I do myself, sometimes I get some help. I started to wear make-up and color my hair when I was 10 years old, so I can do that by myself.

Who inspires you to get that unique hair?
Uhmm... I don't know where the inspiration comes from. I don't have a role model or something, It just came out of me, so I don't know. I don't need much time to style my hair like this, I style my hair, everyday, with a bit of hairspray for around 15 minutes.

How about your tattoos? What inspires them?
I have 3 tattoos. This one in my hand is a writing: Freiheit 89. Freiheit means freedom, and 89 is the year I was born in. I made this tattoo when I was 18 years old, because in Germany, at 18, we're free to do anything. This tattoo on my neck is a Tokio Hotel logo, and I have 1 long tattoo on the side of my stomach, but I can't tell you the meaning, because it's in German language. And it's like a personal thing, I can't explain in English. (Bill's 4th tattoo which meaning has been kept secret; Bill on Star Search; Bill Schrei era; Bill on GQ)

If you're not a band vocalist, what would you become?
I've never want to be anything else besides to become a singer. Can you imagine me behind a counter in a bank? No, me neither. And, actually my gift is only singing and that's my strength. So, there was no other way for me than this one!

If there would be something that you can wear for a lifetime, what would you choose?
I think I would have a long hair like I had for the last record. A hair long enough it can be made-up into various styles. So, I choose a very long hair.

People would be surprised that you are?
I'm a family guy. i think, the best birthday present I ever got was born 10 minutes before I was.

By the way, what type of guy you are?
I'm very romantic. I really believe in true love, a love that you only find once in a lifetime, if you have the chance. Because, I think that many people never find it, which is very sad. But, I'm not a guy who flirts easily with girls. I believe that there's somebody out there for me. I'm still searching.

Would you date a fan?
Why not? I always think that would be great because they live this life with us and really know what we are doing.

Tokio Hotel Rocks The Night!

Tokio Hotel succeeded in making thousands of fans from Asia to Australia who all gathered in Kuala Lumpur, and lost their voices after screaming hysterically.

Saturday night, on the 1st of May, hundreds of Tokio Hotel fans from several countries gathered as one at Central Park Avenue, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. No one could wait to see the 4 gorgeous German boys on stage. Even before noon, before the concert, they had the time to meet Bill Kaulitz and friends at a Signing Session, but they still waited faithfully for hours for Tokio hotel’s appearance.

Busy Screaming
From 4 o’clock in the afternoon, fans were already waiting to get into the venue that was behind 1 Utama Shopping Center, even though Tokio Hotel’s appearance would be at 9 PM, even the gates weren’t open till 6 PM. In the middle of waiting in line, it started to rain, but that didn’t make anyone leave the line. All they did was get out their umbrellas and keep waiting, while screaming the names of Tokio Hotel members. What’s funny was that when the people in he front started to scream, the fans at the back started to scream too without even knowing what was going on up front. How compact!

Having Fun
After two local bands played, Pop Shuvit and Bunkface, fans immediately got enthusiastic again calling out the names of the band. For 15 minutes of the Tokio hotel crew checking their instruments, all that was heard was “Ich liebe dich Tokio Hotel!”, “Tokio Hotel, we love you!”, “Bill Kaulitz, I love you!”. Aaaand, finally, at exactly 9.15 PM, suddenly Tom, Georg and Gustav appeared on stage, followed by Bill who went straight into the first song from Humanoid, Noise. It was a win-win deal for Tokio hotel to play their most reliable songs. After the third song, Bill finally acknowledged the audience. “Thank you so much for coming out! Let’s make some noise with us!” that’s what Bill said in his all-black attire

Love Causing Hysteria
A few times Tokio Hotel went on and off the stage, Bill and Tom loved making the fans go hysteric. They often went to the edge of the stage as close as possible to the fans. Not only is he attractive, Bill is also quite attentive. After singing Automatic, he threw his water bottle into the audience, who were still jumping and singing along the whole duration Tokio Hotel were on stage. After their tenth song, called Forever Now, Bill and friends ended the show while saying “Thank you so much!”. The audience kept screaming “We want more!” over and over. Their screams were proven effective. Not long after that, Tokio hotel were back up on stage singing Monsoon. “See you next time, everyone!” said Bill as he ended he show again. But the fans weren’t sad yet, since after the showcase, there was a meet and greet session for some lucky fans. Wanna know how? Follow W’s story and other fans who met Tokio Hotel.

Tokio Hotel interview @ 91.3FM

There is a youtube video of the interview but the quality is really really bad. Bear with me with the transcript. I hope a good quality video will pop-up later or.

Thanks to Leah73 form Tokio Hotel America Forum for this transcript. This is only a part of it.

Part 1
DJ: Alright so, first question we asked bill and the gang was, did they find malaysia very hot?
B: Yeah, I think so. But it was really warm in Singapore, so...
T: But let's see, we have an outside performance tonight, so it's really hot.
DJ: so it's gonna be an outside concert, is there gonna be a few songs?
T: Yeah, we play a couple songs from our humanoid tour, you know some songs from our humanoid record and some from the scream record and um, yeah, let's see. i mean it's a bit different for us, because you know when we played the european tour we had like a huge production and our own stage, and now it's like we just brought our instruments with us, and the rest is from here so it's a bit different, and a smaller stage and everything but uh, i think it's gonna be great. and the fans are really energetic, we had a great signing session, so it's gonna be a good performance.
DJ: are you gonna put on a lot of stuff or dress up like...?
B: no, because it's too hot, so you know, i thought about a jacket and then i said okay, no, i can't wear a jacket, i think the best thing would be to go on stage naked (!). no, i just keep it simple.
DJ: i see. ok, another question. this question is from clara from (?): she says she loves the song "strange." will you collaborate with anyone else?
B: you know there are no plans yet. maybe something happens. i think it's always important that we are on the same wavelength with the artist, so
T: and personally
B: and personally, so maybe we meet someone and say ok, we want to do something together, but it's not planned yet. and you know, when it comes to tokio hotel it's difficult, because we are all very different in our private music tastes so it's hard to pick one band, but of course we have some dreams. i think it would be ok to do something together with aerosmith.
DJ: aerosmith must do a collaboration. oh how amazing would that be! DJ blabs on...
(after break)
DJ: we had some fans asking, do you think tokio hotel can speak good english, and you guys speak very well.
Guys: thank you very much
B: just in school, and we don't have good teachers, so you know, our english is not that good but we try our best.
DJ: so (to the twins) you are 20?
B & T: yeah
DJ: so your fans want to know, on your 21st birthday, what is your dream party?
B: i think, you know, a dream party would be in las vegas, because the thing is in germany with 18 you are already legal and you can do everything. so it was hard for us, because we only turned 18 and we spent most of the time in america, and there you have to be 21. so that's strange, and so maybe we'll celebrate somewhere in america. let's see there are not plans yet but i think las vegas would be cool. it's a fun place, you know we've been there once...
T: and we went on a jet ski (?)
B: and you can ride a quad bike in the mountains
DJ: then you can (?) as well? (not sure). So what do you miss a lot from back home in Germany?
Georg: our own bed.
Gustav: our homes, our own bed.
DJ: how long have you guys been traveling?
B: yeah the last trip was about 3 months and we were home for just a couple of days...
DJ: ok, (something about trying food)
T: um, in Malaysia we tried fried rice, and we also had that a lot in (?), so we like that. and we had a lot of (?) things.
B: yeah, we tried that. but for tom and me it's a bit difficult because we are vegetarians, so we are very picky (ha! they were picky before they were vegetarians too).
DJ: (mumbles about something)
Band: Hey, we are tokio hotel and thank you for (?) our songs on 91.3's Hot 30 countdown.

Part 2:
DJ: we have this question, this is for tom: would you consider having a tattoo, and if so, where on your body?
T: you know, in the past i said ok, i don't wanna have a tattoo, and now you know i changed a bit my mind because, i don't know, i don't know why, but maybe i would like to have a twin tattoo maybe, you know bill and me the same tattoo. i really think about that, no real plans yet. we'll see.
DJ: (mumbling) (maybe about fan tattoos?)
B: yeah, this had a picture of me on their legs (?)
T: also we had fans with "Bill" and "Tom."
DJ: oh nice! haha. so recently adam lambert tweeted "Where's Bill K? I wanna go shopping with him."
B: i didn't know that. (laughs) i've never met him so far. i just heard about that.
DJ: so do you intend to collaborate with him in the future? some fans actually asked me will you guys do a song together?
B: oh, i don't know him, so maybe i think, you know, it's always best to meet them first. (laughs) let's see what's happening.
DJ: that's right, that's so cool. Bill Kaulitz reacting to adam lambert's tweet. (commercial break)
DJ: ok, we have a question from (?). She wants to know, if tokio hotel opened a theme park, what kind of rides would you have there?
T: theme park, oh, that's a good one.
Georg: for me it would be a go-cart track.
T: i like really, really fast and um, high rollercoasters. you know, so i would love to have the biggest and fastest and highest rollercoasters.
B: for me as well.
T: i like when it goes really, really fast down.
B: we talked about (?), where we spent our last birthday
T: yeah, right
B: that was really cool, so we had like just the whole theme park just for us, and some friends, that was really nice.
T: we had like a tower. and you were sitting in the tower, and it went really fast down, i loved that one. ( i think we get that you like the fast ones, tom ;) )
(more mumbling, laugher...)
T: you know sometimes i like really good things like that (?)
DJ: more Tokio Hotel coming up
DJ: we asked Bill what kind of girl he likes
B: you know, i believe in love at first sight and i really believe in true love and i really wanna meet my soulmate, so, um, that's hard for me because i don't know how my dream girl looks like, i don't have any specific characters (not sure if this is the right word). you know, i hope i can see it in her eyes.
DJ: (mumbling... question is about settling differences)
T: yeah you know it always depends on how important it is. if it's really important, then we fight sometimes. most of the time if we are of different opinions, we have a good fight. but we are like soulmates, so everything's forgotten.

Tokio Hotel's Taiwan Press Conference

(Credits goes to MTV Taiwan's FB )

In case you guys are wondering the little children's shirt are spelling Tokio Hotel ( Thanks bakela 13 from Tokio Hotel America Forums)
Translation made by Jesse from Tokio Hotel America Forums

The press conference will apparently be shown on the Sat at 9pm on MTV News on MTV Taiwan. Let's hope we get to see their interaction with the adorable kids!

It's not a very good translation but the basic gist is this, correct me if I'm wrong! :) :

Germany's Tokio Hotel arrived on 5/2 night in Taiwan. After a night's rest, they had their 1st press conference on 5/3, officially meeting Taiwanese fans! The 4 big boys (a big boy (大男孩) means that the guy is over the teenager phase, probably older than 18, but still display characteristics of a young boy, eg straight forward, shy, sweet, it's viewed as a positive description) are not only very good looking, but their personalities are straight forward and sweet. Besides poking fun and being sarcastic to each other, they answered every question and chatted with the reporters.

When asked if they are be worried that ex-girlfriends of theirs may sell their stories to the press, guitarist Tom answered confidently, "No! Because my ex-girlfriends will only say good things about me." Mischievous Tom took the opportunity to poke fun at the other members, saying that they have no such worries as they don't have ex-girlfriends and that Georg just got his very first girlfriend, asking the reporters to congratulate Georg, his funny and nonsensical answer had everyone in stitches.

Handsome lead vocalist Bill was invited to walk in a runway show before and so everyone was curious if he would set up his own fashion label. Tom, who is also Bill's older twin brother, immediately replied that Bill is very poor in drawing and that he himself would never buy clothes dwsigned by Bill, causing Bill not knowing whether to cry or laugh (literal translation from a Chinese saying, kind of like being caught in an embarrassing situation).

Questions were asked regarding this year's World Cup, but the band members were surprisingly not very interested in the event. Tom replied that although his football/soccer skills are not bad, he is not interested in the event, allowing Bill to seize the chance and poke fun back at him, saying, "He's actually not very good at the sport!" The interaction among the band showed that there is a very strong bond and friendship between them.

Tokio Hotel also had a exclusive interview with MTV Taiwan. Considerate Bill even asked staff who were helping to take photos whether they wanted to have a group photo together as well, causing all staff to fall under his charm (again, literal translation). As to the question whether they would consider dating a Taiwanese girl, all four gave a resounding "Yes!". During the interview, Tokio Hotel also shared with MTV their dress sense in private, their favorite food, the type of girl they like, Bill's makeup habits etc. This exclusive interview will be shown at 9pm, this Saturday on MTV NEWS, please tune in!

HitzFMs interw with Tokio Hotel

NTV7 Malaysia Interview

Translation credits foes to Relianne from Tokio Hotel America Forums

"The famous group from Germany Tokio Hotel wants to continue to spread their music worldwide. They're popular with their hit songs such as Automatic and Humanoid, and although they are under the rock genre, they have their own unique take to it. Tokio Hotel consists of the lead vocalist Bill Kaulitz, guitarists Tom Kaulitz and Georg Listing and the drummer Gustav Schafer(lol at how she pronounces his surname). With a little touch of techno, their unique music will be performed at their only concert here, tomorrow."

Bill and Tom speaks.

Translation at the end

"So don't miss out on their energetic concert tomorrow at One Utama shopping complex in Bandar Utama at 6pm. Tickets are available with the purchase of Tokio Hotel's 'Humanoid' album in every Rock Corner branch. The opening acts are our local bands Bunkface and Popshovit."
