Dinos algo!

English version:
I: Guys, we made it. Only a few hours are missing until the Tokio Hotel concert at Palalottomatica in Rome. This is the venue, you can see it behind me, they’re alreay inside, the gates are open, tickets for the concert. We gathered all your questions, which you made on raimusic website, I’ve got all of them on a piece of paper, now I’m going inside and I’ll try to make them answer as much questions as possible. I’m gonna give my best, let’s go, do you come with me?
Guys, here’s the backstage, come with me!
So, here we are with Tokio Hotel. Desiree is asking you, what do you think about fans who don’t scream and cry like the majority of them do at your concerts, but just let themselves be carried by music and emotions?
B: I think we can say in general that we like you know, laut fans and screaming fans. We were at other concerts and we saw the audience you know, clapping… I think it kind of boring. I really enjoy, you know to be on stage and to feel real emotions from everyone. So yeah, I think I prefer when it’s really really loud, but it’s up to every fans, so, as long as they listen to our music it’s fine.
I: Again about fans, B. from Rome asked if you know that in Italy there is a very active group of not really young fans, who follow and support you even if you’re always categorized as a “teen band”. Do you know it?
B: I think, you know for us it’s always good when the people listen to our music, I think it’s not you know, the age or something. So we really don’t care, I mean you can listen to our music when you’re 19, if you’re 90 it’s also fine.
T: You can have a good music taste when you are 16 and you can have a good music taste when you are 60, so…
B: Yeah, so it’s nice.
I: You made italian fans even happier with the decision to record the live dvd during the concert in Milan. Alessia asks you why you decided to record the Milan concert and what’s special with italian fans. If there’s something special, obviously.
B: I think it was, you know, a lot of things, because it’s the end of the tour so we are kind of, you know, used to the show and that’s good so, and of course because of the Italian fans, you know we never did a dvd outside from Germany, it’s the first time. So we decided, ok come on let’s try it in Italy because we had you know good experience with the audience and everything and they’re always great, you know it’s always energetic and it’s always a good show in Italy so that’s why we decided to do it in Milano.
I: Now let’s talk about your last album, an album that is way different from the old ones, there are lots of electronic sounds and a clear reference to 80’s music. Denise from Milan wants to know this. Why did you decide to change the sound? And what made you take this decision?
T: We didn’t decided, it was like a long process you know, we produced like one year for the new record and you know, it was really important for us to have, you know, a good time in the studio and especially, you know, feel free to have the time to do really a new great record. And you know, it was like a developement in the studio, we didn’t decided it… Bill and me, We co-produced the record for the very first time, and that was also a great experience, you know, we tried lot of different things, new producers and I mean we also produced with our producer… and yeah, that was a natural developement and it was also important for us to do a new record after the long time. We toured like three years ago with you know, the old record and it was time for us to do something new.
I: We received many many questions from all over the world, from Spain, from USA, from South America, from Central America, from Canada, from Philippines, from all over Europe, from Russia, from Denmark and from Norway. To represent them all we take Aixa from Spain, because she asks something interesting. Now that this incredible part of the european tour is finished, of course things are not over. What are your plans after the promo tour in Asia, are you gonna go on tour again or work to a new album? Say us something!
B: Don’t ask us questions about our schedule!
T: Was it a question after the tour?
B: It was a question after Asia
T: Ah, after Asia…
B: So, I’m happy that I know that I go to Asia and that’s all I know so far. So, I mean I think the whole year it’s just, you know, playing live and you know, just with this record. I don’t think we’ll release a new record this year. So, but we definitely will go in the studio, I mean we go always in the studio when we have some free time, we always write songs, we always go in studio so, and we have already new songs so…
T: But I don’t think we will release a new record this year. I think it’s more about playing live and maybe go to South America, and you know Asia and all that, yeah.

Tokio Hotel & Pro 7 Red Interview

part 1

Bill: Well, for me a live concert is not only about, having a guitar, an amplifier, staying on a stage and to play for one and half hour...i have another demand...for me it is really a show and we really want to make a show, which fits to the album...some kind of Humanoid city and so on. From this point i was thrilled that Dsquared was ready to make it...the outfits for the tour...and that is truely awesome, that two designer create this...that is so awesome. For me it is a dream come true...more than for the others. For me it is like...yes...i am living this...it belongs to me..i signify to wear such kind of outfits and to perform and sing. In my eyes it is a perfect show.

Speaker: Is it some kind of personal freedom for you to wear such kind of outfits?

Bill: Absolutly...if other people would have a say...i probably wouldn't wear some outfits...even if Tom would have a say.....i wouldn't wear one or two jackets..but of course...that's the way i feel..how i feel comfortable on stage...and that's my way. You can't satisfy everyone all the day

Tom: The good thing in our band is...we live and let live. Georg looks as well like a jerk...it was always like that...so we live and let live.

(Cut You don't hear the question)

Bill: Well...you shouldn't take everything too serious. There are things, that come up again and again, every year and they always appear at a certain time...when there is nothing in line...and they have nothing to report about...and actually, you have to relax a bit...take it easy...and most of the things we don't get to notice....every day, there are thousands of reports about us...in many countries....not only germany...so you have to take it easy...relax and don't take it seriously

(Cut...again)
Tom:Sure...it happend very fast..and in the last five years it wasn't like we could make party with some friends or got to know some people easily..anyway it is not like that...luckily it is...especialy for Bill and me...it happend very early...We have experienced a lot like people usualy do in our present age..We have done it already at the age of fourteen and fiveteen.. ...At that time it wasn't that cool...especialy maybe not for our parents...but now...we are really happy about that...because now, we don't have a chance to do it. Therefore...of course you missed something...normality and so on, But on the other hand , in the last five years we had the chance to expierence a lot of things, that you normaly never every could...Actually

Bill: You can't have everything...if you do that...you miss something else, that's the way it is...you have to take a loss. And if people think....sure...we could make awesome shows, have a lot of money and everything is super....it is not like that.. of course....it looks totaly different. And either you are willing to do it and live that kind of life or not. You have to sacrifice a lot and take a loss.

( cut again)

Part 2

Tom: Well...it was probably already in the newspaper....no idea....one day i am going to tell it exactly in my biographie ( Bill and Tom laugh)...yes but

Bill: No...Basicly Tom and I had always elder friends. At that time we had friends, who could already drive a car, were a bit older and we joined them by doing things, that elder people do.

Speaker: When did you go shopping food the last time? Doing something normal?

Tom: Ok...that is an example...like shopping food.. a normal privat life...is something that you have of course missed a bit.. When we started...been succesful...at that time you didn't need to do it...your mother already did it...in the meantime maybe we should do it...but we could not do it. This is something we never have done. I can remember, that we stopped with the bus and went with our staff into a supermarket at night in the USA, when nobody was there. That is the way how we grap some food...but going normaly shopping in a supermarket, looking for your favourite yoghurt...we don't know this.

Part 3

Bill: Especialy school-time....

Tom: There we had even more problems

Bill: even more...school-time was the worst....that was the worst time in my life...and i am so happy, that i am over it...that i never have to walk in such a building again. For me there is nothing more worse..i have an authority problem. I have a problem, if people want to tell me what to do..and that's how it is sometimes in school. I couldn't...we both couldn't cope with it. From that...yes...we had been only in trouble..with the teachers and of course with other people...and i am so happy....actually all of us are happy that we are over it. I will never be a part of those kind of people, who will say...ok..if you now look back...schooltime wasn't that bad.

Tom. Well, i get, what those people actualy want to say...then you have to deal with different worries...but at that age the problems are just as important as the problems with which you have to deal later.

Bill: Exactly

Tom: They are different...and when you are an adult...you thing, they are much more important...but I know exactly, as a teen, school was my biggest worry. Therefore it was worse

Speaker: Did you have only problems with teachers or also with students?

Bill: With everything, i believe....it's all there...like everybody else...of course you had some fights or people you don't like...also teachers....fights with teachers ( laughs)

Part 4

Speaker: Are there some tussle, if you are so closly on such a little space?

Bill:Well...we try to make it as comfortable as possible for us. We have two band-busses...only for us...Georg and Gustav have one...and Tom and I have one. Everybody has his own room, in which you could shut yourself away.

Tom: Actually people overestimated it a bit...we spend most of the time in the venues. You enter the venue in the morning at 11.00 and leave it in the night at 1.00....and then you are back on the bus and go to sleep.

Bill: There are some days, when you spend more time on the bus

Tom: Right...there are some routings, where we drive three days with the bus...and then it will become probably a bit annoying...with such a little space...but the bus is actualy only for sleeping and watching a dvd....most of the time, we spend in the venues.

Part 5

Bill: Tom and I couldn't probaply travel to this island again...because...some f***ing bastard of photographer made pics of us there ( Tom claps ) So you see, it is very difficult for us...you fly to the other end of the world...and nevertheless some idiot try to make money with you. So arccodingly you have to deal with such things and accept it...but as you can see...it is not easy for me to accept this. It is tough...you don't get used to it...you try to have your own space to be private...but nevertheless Tom and I had a relaxed holiday....

Wouldn't it be easier for you to live for example in the USA?

Bill: Well...I thing of course it would be easier for us..but we could also move to the province..where nobody lives and there are only two houses...but the question is of course...would you be happy there? In Germany are our families...this our home...here you speak german...this is our home-country. We truely feel at home here.....and even if it is the strenous country for us, we coulnd't imagine to leave it...maybe for a half year...but to leave Germany i couldn't simply imagine. We all grow up here.

Bill: What we are doing, has nothing to do with end of a work day. You don't flip your laptop shut leave the office and say ok...now i have freetime. It is in your head...every day...all day long..you deal with it.....that's our life...you never reach the point..

Tom: That means...everything that you try to reach personaly has to do with the band...
